OPP Identify Leamington Sexual Assault Suspect

The Ontario Provincial Police have identified a suspect in the sexual assault of a teenaged girl in Leamington last month.

The girl was walking in the area of Fox and Chestnut St. around 7pm June 29 when a man on a bicycle approached her and touched her inappropriately.

Police released a description of the suspect and a composite drawing.

Friday, police issued an update in the case thanking the public for their help in identifying a 17-year-old boy.

The teen faces charges.

Because the suspect is under the age of 18, his name will not be released to the public in compliance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
