Crash Shuts Down County Rd. 42 During Morning Commute

Anyone taking County Rd. 42 into work faced delays after a crash that sent three people to hospital during the morning commute in Tecumseh.

Two vehicles collided at Odessa Dr. shortly after 8am Tuesday.

Firefighters from Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Service had to extricate two people from one vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Provincial Police shut down County Rd. 42 between Banwell and Lesperance Rd., and detoured traffic onto Lesperance.

It reopened shortly before 9am.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
