One person was taken to hospital after a tractor-trailer has overturned on Hwy. 401.

It happened shortly after 4pm Thursday on the westbound on-ramp to Howard Ave.

Tecumseh Fire and Rescue says the driver of the vehicle was trapped and had to be extricated. The driver was then taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The on-ramp from the westbound 401 to Howard Ave. was closed until around 9pm, to allow crews to remove the tractor-trailer. The crash also caused lane reductions on Hwy. 401, but all lanes have since reopened.
