UPDATE: Rainfall Warning Over

A rainfall warning is over for Windsor-Essex.

Environment Canada issued the warning Monday due to very heavy rain and thunderstorms that hammered parts of Southwestern Ontario. Based on radar estimates, some areas west of Harrow towards Tecumseh may have received 75-150 mm of rain.

The Windsor airport reported 56mm of rainfall as of 11pm.

While, the intense rainfall has tapered off, showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to persist into Tuesday.

The Windsor Police Service tweeted around 10pm that many streets in the city become flooded Monday evening.  The OPP also reported that Martin Dr. and Jordan Lane were flooded in Tecumseh.

Areas west of Harrow received at least 75mm of rain.

Drivers are urged to use caution on the roads.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
