Windsor Police Lay Charges In Weekend Arson

Police in Windsor have charged a 44-year-old Windsor man after a fire downtown Saturday afternoon.

Officers made the arrest after speaking with witnesses on the scene on Wyandotte St. W near Pelissier St.

No one was hurt, but the fire caused up to $50,000 damage.

The man is charged with arson with disregard for human life, and breach of probation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
