$1M Promised To Downtown Mission Wellness Centre

An anonymous donor is challenging the Windsor-Essex community to help raise money for the Downtown Mission Wellness Centre.

The donor has agreed to match all donations earmarked for the Wellness Centre up to $1-million.

Executive Director Ron Dunn says this money will help them grow their addiction services at the new location.

"We already offer addiction services. We need to expand, we want to talk to families about addiction. We want to offer them some counseling so that's part of the plan," says Dunn.

He says the money is also needed to sustain the 103 beds they currently have at the shelter.

The deadline for the matching campaign is October 31, 2017.
