UPDATE: Fire In The Heart Of Leamington

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called to investigate a fire on Erie St. N in Leamington.

Around 7am Friday, Firefighters responded to a fire at 10 Erie St. N where there is a restaurant on the bottom floor and apartments above.  Leamington Fire Service says it is unclear at this point where the fire started.

There was a lot of smoke in the area, and one person has been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Crews remained on scene until around 3pm Friday afternoon. Both Lakeshore and Kingsville Fire were on the scene to help extinguish the blaze.

The fire caused an estimated $450,000 of damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
