The Windsor Police Service says between the hours of 11:45pm Sunday night and 4am Monday morning, a man entered convenience stores and fast-food restaurants brandishing a blunt object and demanding money.

The man robbed three convenience stores including at least two Mac’s convenience stores, two Tim Hortons, and a Subway restaurant in an area that stretches from Campbell Ave. and Wyandotte St. W, to Wyandotte St. E and Walker Rd.

No one was injured in any of the reported incidents.

Thanks to help from the public, police were able to identify a suspect who was arrested without incident at a home on Laporte Ave., on Monday around 2:30pm.

A 55-year-old Windsor man is now charged with six counts of robbery with a weapon.
