Amherstburg Police Investigating Fatal Crash

Charges are pending after a fatal collision in Amherstburg Thursday morning.

Around 8am this morning Amherstburg police were called to the intersection of Alma St. and County Rd. 9 for a motor vehicle collision.

A 58-year-old female from Harrow died after the car she was driving on Howard Ave. collided with a car travelling on Alma St.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed until around 3pm Thursday afternoon as police investigated.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
