Cyclists Get 'Fixit' Stations In Windsor Parks

Cyclists in Windsor can now do small repairs on their bikes on the road.

City officials are taking the wraps off one of four existing "fixit" stations Friday. Cyclists can use a pump to fill up their tires and use tools to conduct repairs at Jackson Park, Centennial Park, Great Western Park, and Optimist Memorial Park.

There are plans to install two more in Willistead Park and Mitchell Park soon.

Funding for the stations came from CUPE Local 82, which represents outside workers with the City of Windsor, and ward funds from Councillors Rino Bortolin and Chris Holt.
