Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Train

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 6:30pm, officers responded to a Canadian Pacific rail line in the area between Essex County Rd. 42, Essex County Rd. 22, Renaud Line and Patillo Rd.

One person has been pronounced dead, but police are not releasing any further details at this time.

The OPP says an investigation is ongoing.
