Property Sales Down In Windsor-Essex

There are more signs that the housing market in the area is cooling off.

Home sales in September were down 18% in Windsor Essex compared to sales in September 2016.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors says in September 453 properties were sold in the region compared to 553 properties in 2016.

Home sales have been below last year's figures since July.

The number of new listings was also down slightly in September with 657 listed last month compared to 684 in September 2016.

The average sale price for properties in September was $253,465. That's up from $217,439 in September of 2016.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
