Windsor police have arrested a man in connection to the assault of an elderly woman.
Police say a 75-year-old woman is hospitalized after being assaulted in east Windsor Sunday morning. According to police, the assault happened around 8am on the Ganatchio Trail near Little River Rd.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages and has been taken over by the Major Crimes Unit.
Officers say the woman is being treated for head wounds and has yet to regain consciousness.
