Firefighters Extinguish Stove Fire

Damage is pegged at around $9,000 after a kitchen fire broke out in a Leamington home.

Leamington Fire Services reported the fire on Thursday around 4pm, on Hwy. 77 near near Mersea Rd.

Fire officials say the blaze started on a stove in the home, but no one was injured.

It is unknown if the fire was caused as a result of unattended cooked.
