Police Arrest Man For Multiple Car Thefts

A 30-year-old man is facing multiple theft charges after being linked to several car thefts in a parking garage Monday morning.

Windsor police say they responded to a break and enter at an apartment building on Riverside Dr. W near Cameron Ave. around 7:40am. Several vehicles in the parking garage were broken into. Surveillance video caught a suspect leaving in a stolen pick-up truck.

The stolen truck was spotted abandoned in an alleyway on Wednesday on Cataraqui St. After a search of the vehicle some stolen property linked to the parking garage thefts was found.

The suspect was found a short time later walking in the area. He was placed under arrest and is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, four counts of theft under $5,000, and ten counts of mischief under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
