Coat Drive Coming Up Short

The 2017 Coats For Kids Campaign is short 3,000 coats this year.

Distribution of the coats to Windsor and Essex families begins tomorrow. A full list of distribution sites and times can be found here.

CEO of the Unemployed Help Centre June Muir says they have enough to get started but knows they will need more.

"Last year we gave out approximately 5,000 coats, in total counting the county we gave out over 6,000 so we know we're short," says Muir.

The drive is in need of boys and girls coats, sizes 2 to 20, that are new or gently used.

Coats can be dropped off at the Unemployed Help Centre at 6955 Cantelon Dr. You can also arrange for staff to pick up coats by calling the office at 519-944-4900.
