Windsor Scores A Stand-Alone Cannabis Store

The LCBO has announced the first 14 cities that will host stand-alone cannabis stores by July 2018, and Windsor is on the list.

The federal government plans to make the use of recreational marijuana legal by next Canada day, and Ontario introduced legislation this week governing the sale and distribution of it.

Over the coming weeks, Ministry of Finance and LCBO officials will meet with staff in the cities announced Friday to talk about where the store will be located and protecting youth from access to marijuana.

The province says it will inform the public once it has chosen a site within the city.

Other cities named in today's announcement include London, Toronto, Hamilton, Kitchener, and Kingston.
