UPDATE: Windsor Man Dies In Shooting

Windsor police are investigating after a man died from being shot in the city's east end.

Police say on Saturday at around 1:30am, officers were dispatched to Healthfield Crt. after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.

When officers arrived, police say numerous people were screaming that someone had been shot. Police say it appeared that there had been a house party nearby.

Officers then found a 23-year-old Windsor man suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a residence.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and police say the man died there.

The area was blocked off as a crime scene, while police continue to investigate.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Branch, as well as the Forensic Identification Unit were on scene.

Police say the investigation is still in its early stages.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
