Arrests Made In Weekend Murder

Windsor police say they’ve made two arrests in connection with the murder of a man on Saturday.

A 23-year-old Windsor man, identified on social media as Jarvas Anthony Scott, died in hospital after being shot in the area of Heathfield Court and Little River Rd. Police announced on Monday morning that two suspects had been arrested on Josephine Ave. near University Ave.

The shooting was reported to police around 1:30am Saturday. Officers responded to Heathfield Court to find several people screaming that someone had been shot. According to police, the victim was at a party at a home on Healthfield Court. He was shot after getting into an altercation outside.

A group of men took of from the scene in a white Pontiac Torrent. On Sunday night around 11:30pm, police seized a Torrent believed from Tranby Ave. near Belle Isle View Blvd. Investigators are seeking a warrant to search the vehicle as well as a home in the area.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
