Cyclist Hit by Car Near Downtown

A bicyclist was sent to hospital after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday.

Windsor police say the incident happened shortly after 11:30am on Wyandotte St. E between Marentette Ave and Parent Ave.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no word on whether the vehicle driver was charged.

Wyandotte St E was closed at that location during the lunch hour so crews could complete their investigation. It has since reopened.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
