Drunk Driving Charges Laid In McHugh St. Crash

A Windsor man is facing impaired driving charges after a serious crash late Sunday night that sent four people to hospital.

The head-on collision involving a Buick and a Honda Civic happened on McHugh near Mickey Renaud Way just before midnight.

Police say the driver of the Buick showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to hospital with minor injuries. The passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were also taken to hospital. One had minor injuries while the other's injuries were serious.

A 46-year-old man is facing two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of exceeding a blood alcohol level of 80 mg.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
