Thanksgiving Day Street Closures In Detroit

If you're headed to Detroit for the Thanksgiving Day Parade or the Detroit Lions game there are a few road closure you'll want to know about.

The parade kicks off from the corner of Kirby and Woodward Ave. at 8:50am and travels down Woodward Ave. until Congress St.  Woodward Ave. from Warren Ave. to Jefferson Ave. will be shut down until the conclusion of the parade.

In addition many side streets along the route will have limited access. For a full list of street closures visit the Parade Company website here. The site also provides some suggestions on where to find parking for the event.

The Parade Company expects hundreds of thousands of spectators along the route to check out the floats, balloons and marching bands.
