Joint Investigation Leads To Multiple Arrests

Windsor police worked with police services in the GTA to stop thousands of dollars of drugs coming into the community.

Windsor police began investigating a male suspect in August of 2017. Through the investigation they believed he was travelling to the GTA to get the drugs and bring them back into the community.

On Thursday, Toronto police and Durham police executed search warrants related to the investigation.  A male suspect in Toronto who police allege was providing the illicit drugs to the Windsor suspect was arrested and a residence in the GTA was secured.

The Windsor police executed a search warrant at a home on Alexandra Ave. in Windsor on Friday morning. Police seized cocaine and marijuana with an estimated street value of over $25,000 and over $10,000 Canadian.

A 49-year-old suspect from Windsor was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
