Santa Comes To Tecumseh Friday Night

Santa Claus makes his first visit to Windsor-Essex Friday night with a stop in Tecumseh.

Ol' Saint Nick will be the star of the show at the annual Christmas in Tecumseh celebration.

The parade starts at 6:16pm sharp at Lacasse Park where the procession will travel south along Lacasse Blvd. to Tecumseh Rd. E, before continuing westbound to Lesperance Rd.  From there it will head northbound again to Town Hall.

The evening also includes some other activities for the family including free public skating, an outdoor marshmallow roast, as well as horse and carriage rides.

"The holiday season is about spending time with family and friends, and the Christmas in Tecumseh Celebration represents the strong sense of community we have here in the Town of Tecumseh," says Mayor Gary McNamara.

Throughout the evening, volunteers will serve complimentary hotdogs and warm refreshments.

Donations of canned goods and gently used clothing will be collected along the parade route and at Tecumseh Arena to help support the Tecumseh Goodfellows.
