Quebec Driver Charged In Crash That Killed Windsor Woman

A 28-year-old Quebec man faces a careless driving charge after a fatal crash in Kingsville on November 3.

The Ontario Provincial Police investigated a three-vehicle collision on County Rd. 18. A tractor-trailer was turning into a driveway around 6am when two eastbound vehicles hit it.

A total of eight people were hurt, including 52-year-old Sameera Nona of Windsor who later died of her injuries.

The crash shut down County Rd. 18 between County Rd. 34 and County Rd. 31.

The driver of the tractor-trailer will appear in a Windsor court on December 18.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
