A man was stabbed around 4pm Tuesday.
He was taken to the hospital, but police say his injuries were not life threatening.
A suspect is in police custody.
Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley called the announcement "a banner day for Sarnia-Lambton, Canada's eastern energy hub."
Dr. Syeda Qasim started working at the hospital this week and will help strengthen diagnostic services across Sarnia-Lambton.
