Two Charged After Minivan Strikes Pedestrian

Police have charged not only the driver of a minivan that hit a man on St. Luke Rd. but the owner of the vehicle too.

The man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries when he was struck near Alice St. around 1:30pm on Saturday, December 23.

Constable Andrew Drouillard says the minivan also hit a second vehicle.

A 25-year-old Windsor man is now charged with careless driving, driving while under suspension, and not having right sticker on the license plate.

Police also laid two charges against the 32-year-old woman who owns the minivan. Her offences are allowing someone without insurance and a proper license to drive her vehicle.
