OPP Arrest Impaired Wrong Way Driver

There are a number of ways drivers can attract the attention of police; driving the wrong way on a major road is one of them.

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 48-year-old Windsor man for an incident that occurred early the morning hours of December 28.

An officer watched as a vehicle turned northbound on Walker Rd. in the southbound lanes into oncoming traffic.

The driver appeared to be drunk after the officer stopped the vehicle, and he was arrested.

The man is now charged with driving with over the legal limit and driving a vehicle impaired. The vehicle has been impounded, and the man's driver's license has been suspended.
