Racing Charges For Windsor Man

An 18-year-old Windsor man's need for speed has him in hot water.

Ontario Provincial Police say the man's vehicle was stopped on Wednesday morning on Hwy. 3 in Lakeshore. The OPP's Traffic Management Unit was conducting enforcement.

The vehicle was clocked in excess of 130 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.

The driver has been charged with racing a motor vehicle and is expected to appear in a Windsor court on February 12.

OPP Constable Jim Root says the driver's licence has been suspended and his vehicle was impounded.
