Express Cut Down By Riptide 100-96

The Windsor Express fell 100-96 to the Saint John Riptide on Friday.

Windsor trailed Saint John 22-17 at the end of the first quarter, and the Riptide held onto a 51-44 lead heading into halftime. The Express continued to stay close behind with only a five-point deficit at the end of the third, but they weren't able to catch the Riptide, who won with a four-point advantage.

Logan Stutz led Windsor with 24 points and ten rebounds, while Maurice Jones had 22 points and two rebounds.

The Express are on the road again on Saturday when the head to Charlottetown PEI to take on the Island Storm at 6pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
