Schiemenz Joining Windsor Spitfires

Former Kitchener Rangers Forward Cedric Schiemenz will be joining the Windsor Spitfires bench this week.

The team claimed the player off CHL re-entry waivers.

Schiemenz played 49 games last year with the Rangers and got three goals and six assists.

This year he's been playing in Germany for the Dresden Ice Dogs.

Schiemenz is expected to arrived Tuesday and be a part of the line-up with the Spits host the Sarnia Sting on Thursday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
