Windsor Man Charged In Downtown Stabbing

A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in downtown Windsor.

Windsor police Sargeant Steve Betteridge says the incident took place just before 1:30am Sunday at a business on Ouellette Ave. near University Ave. E. When police arrived at the location, they found a 19-year-old man with an apparent stab wound. He was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect was identified in connection with the stabbing and Tori Tremblay, 22, was arrested at around 3am at his home on Drouillard Rd.

Tremblay is charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
