Windsor Taxi Driver Disciplined

A Windsor taxi driver who went on a cussing tirade New Year's Eve night has been disciplined.

An official with Vets Cab says the man is a good employee who was just having a bad night. The company admits it's not proud of what happened but considers the matter closed.

The company did not want to divulge what the punishment was.

Star Alsalom says she, her sister and her girlfriend felt threatened New Year's Eve night shortly after she got in to the taxi in east Windsor. The misunderstanding started over the fare meter. The 20-year-old did not realize it starts at $3.80 when someone gets picked up.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
