Driver Dies Following Head-On Crash

A person has died following a collision with a dump truck.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon on Howard Ave. between Concession 7 and County Rd. 7.

The OPP say the SUV crossed the centre median hitting the dump truck head-on.

The driver of the SUV died after being transported to a local hospital. His name has not been released.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

Police say there was also a dog in the SUV at the time of the collision that was not injured and returned to a family member of the driver.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
