Two Charged In Stolen Vehicle Investigation

A man and a woman from Windsor face charges after police made an arrest near the Home Depot on Division Rd.

Officers from the Windsor Police Service Property Crimes Unit were conducting an investigation nearby when they spotted a man wanted on outstanding warrants going into a business.

They approached his vehicle and arrested a woman who remained in the vehicle.

Police identified the man as a suspect in an incident on Boxing Day where someone stole a purse and bank cards. The cards were used to make purchases.

Police also found a backpack containing items they suspect was also stolen.

The 26-year-old man faces a list of charges including possession of stolen property, fraud, theft, and escape lawful custody.

The 22-year-old woman is charged with possession of stolen property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
