Man Shot, Nose Bit Off in Windsor Incident

A Windsor man was seriously injured following what police describe as a family dispute.

Windsor Police were called late Friday to a home on Aubin Rd near Alice St in the city's Ford City neighbourhood.

Police say a man had been shot in the leg and the tip of his nose had been bitten off. Officers say the victim fought back against the suspect and his nose was bit during that scuffle.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries. He underwent successful surgery.

The victim's nephew, a 32-year-old man, has been charged with attempted murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
