Single-Vehicle Crash Leads To Charges

A truck driver from Scarborough is facing careless driving charges after a crash in Lakeshore last week.

OPP responded to the crash on Hwy. 401 in Lakeshore on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at around 5:20pm.

Witnesses say the transport truck left the highway, entered a ditch, and travelled 200 m before stopping against a fence.

The 59-year-old driver was the only person in the vehicle and was not injured.

The road had to be closed shortly while the vehicle was removed.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
