Police Nab Alleged Credit Card Thief

Police have made an arrest after a credit card was stolen and used to make a purchase in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on January 14, a woman discovered her wallet and phone had been stolen from her vehicle, which had been parked at a business on Tecumseh Rd. E.  One of her credit cards was then used at a convenience store on Wyandotte St. E.

Officers were able to obtain a picture of a suspect from surveillance cameras at the store. On Wednesday, investigators from the Property Crimes Unit were able to identify the suspect and he was arrested.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
