Express Beat Highlanders 109-92

The Windsor Express topped the Cape Breton Highlanders 109-92 at the WFCU Centre.

The Express took a 36-24 lead in the first quarter, but the Highlanders were able to bridge the gap in the second to come within one point of Windsor heading into halftime.

Windsor strengthened their lead in the third to make it 90-72 at the end of the frame. The Highlanders were unable to catch up in the fourth and the game ended with the Express holding a 17-point advantage.

Logan Stutz led Windsor with a game-high 25 points and seven rebounds. Shaquille Keith and Damontre Harris both put up another 16 points each.

The Express will take on the London Lightning next on Sunday at the WFCU Centre. Tip-off is at 2pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
