Tunnel Tolls Go Up

If you use the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel to commute to Detroit, get ready to pay a little more coming home starting Thursday.

The U.S. rate will remain the same, but the Canadian rate is changing. Travellers going from Detroit to Windsor will pay an extra quarter. The toll is going up from $6 Canadian to $6.25 Canadian.

The Nexpress rate is also going up from $3.95 to $4.20.

Tunnel President and CEO Neal Belitsky says the increase is a currency adjustment.
