Man Injured At Tecumseh Plant

A man has suffered a serious injury at a plant in Oldcastle.

It happened Friday morning at Precision Stamping, on 8th Concession Rd. near Provincial Rd.

Tecumseh Fire Chief Doug Pitre tells BlackburnNewsWindsor.com that an employee was injured when a piece of equipment weighing more than 20,000 kg fell on his arm. Pitre says the worker was freed and taken to hospital before fire crews arrived on scene.

There is no word on the employee's condition and his name has not been released.

Ontario Provincial Police have responded to the scene along with investigators to try and determine how the incident occurred.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
