Pedestrian Killed in Windsor Train Collision

A pedestrian has been killed in a train collision in Windsor.

Windsor Police tell BlackburnNewsWindsor.com that the incident occurred at Jefferson Blvd and South Service Rd. Officers responded to a call about an incident shortly before 6pm Saturday.

Police say that the victim was apparently jogging with headphones on and may not have been aware of an oncoming train.

The WPS Major Crimes Unit and Canadian Pacific railway police were on scene trying to determine how the collision took place.

The victim, who police say was male, has not been identified.

Jefferson Blvd at South Service Rd was reopened to traffic around 11pm Saturday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
