Moose Lodge Closed Due To Lease Issues

The owner of the Moose Lodge building on Tecumseh Rd. says he had no choice but to close the doors after the tenants have not paid their lease in over three years.

Mike Mosgrove with the Panther Recycling Corporation says they bought the building four years ago and were just informed that the tenants have not paid the lease.

"We certainly do not just want to shut down the moose but if there's no way we can see to get our money out of it then I just don't see any options," says Mosgrove.

He says he has attempted to work with the manager but has not gotten a response.

A post on the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499 Facebook page by Manager Dan Batson says that they are not nor have they ever been in default of the lease agreement. He says they are working with their lawyers and hope to reopen shortly.

The business has been closed since Friday.
