Ford Employees Donate To United Way

Ford employees in Windsor donated $561,343 to the United Way this year.

That's an average of $480 per employee at the three plants in the city.

Campaign co-chair Jeff Walsh says their goal every year is to raise more than the year before.

"People are lucky in Windsor to be working at Ford Motor Company and that helps us give back to our community," says Walsh.

The donation represents around 10% of the United Way's total fundraising goal. The donation will help around 8,000 people in the community through United Way programs.
