Lighthouse Cove Warned Of Flooding

Residents in the Lighthouse Cove area in Lakeshore are being advised to secure their properties for possible flooding along the Thames River.

Sandbags are available free of charge for residents at the Tremblay Beach Conservation area. Residents should secure their properties and remove any items that could be damaged by flooding or get loose and become floating debris.

Residents are also being asked to clear catch basins and other drainage works to they can function properly.

Residents should monitor water levels through the next 48 hours.

Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain will take part in a news conference with Chatham Mayor Randy Hope at 9 am Saturday morning.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
