Teen Threatened And Robbed Over iPhone

The search is on for a suspect after a teenaged boy was robbed of his iPhone on Church St. in Windsor.

Police say the boy was walking with a friend on Church St. between Park St. W and Wyandotte St. W around 6:45pm Sunday night when they were approached by a man who grabbed his phone.

The teen resisted, but the suspect told him he had a gun, so he gave up the phone, and the man ran away into a nearby alley.

The victim says he saw a small white car leave the alley soon after, but police are not sure if the vehicle is connected to the robbery.

They are looking for a black man in his mid-20s who was about 6'0" tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a red and black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, a black toque, and was carrying a red backpack. The teen says he also spoke with an accent.
