Alert Resident's Tip Leads To Charges

Windsor police say a man is charged as the result of an alert resident's watchful eye.

Police say a man was seen breaking into parked vehicles around 2:30am Sunday on Pierre Ave. near Chatham St. E. At least three vehicles had been affected.

Windsor police Sergeant Steve Betteridge says a 20-year-old Windsor man is charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property, and possession of break-and-enter tools.

The WPS Property Crimes Unit is investigating.
