St. Paddy's RIDE Programs Result In Several Tickets, Suspensions

Windsor police kept a close eye on drivers during a roadside blitz on St. Patrick's Day.

It is reported that the police service's Traffic Enforcement Unit held RIDE programs during the festivities on Saturday at several different locations in the city.

Police say 1148 vehicles were checked in total, resulting in four three-day licence suspensions, one impaired driving arrest, 11 roadside tests, and 22 tickets.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
