The Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Service says on Wednesday shortly before 5pm, fire crews responded to 837 St. Pierre St. to find heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home.
Fire officials say the blaze was confined to the rear deck and exterior of the house.
The cause of the fire and a damage estimate are unknown at this time.
