Axe Wielding Robbery Suspect Sought By Police

Windsor police have released a photo of a suspect fleeing the scene of a convenience store robbery after the clerk was terrorized with a small axe.

The clerk, at the store on Seminole St. at Central Ave. hid in a back room until the suspect left.

Police say the man was wearing a white bandanna over his face last Tuesday night when he entered the store and demanded money.

No one was hurt.

Police describe the man as in his 20s, 5'6", and with a medium build. He was wearing a black coat with the hood pulled up, a baseball hat with a red brim, grey jogging pants, and black shoes.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
